Dissapointed, on a personal level

First few minutes we see a guy trying to off himself, lives a *beep* life, live with his parents, depressed, he's an amateur photographer...up until this point i said "great, i found a film that describes my life". I want to see how they show him coping with his disease. But this 30 something year old with nothing going in his life, living with his parents, not particularly handsome, suddenly
becomes entangled in a love
triangle with 2 beautiful women?That just doesn't happen. I wanted the film to show me how he dies, did he jump in front of the F train? Hanged himself? I wanted a realistic film, not a romcom, and that's what I got.
