Deadlands 2 Snags 2 more awards at WMIFF 2010 in Wash, DC

Gary Ugarek’s $6000.00 zombie film that could has scored another 2 awards wins. The second entry in his self built ZOMBIE franchise has scored the Audience Choice Award as well as the award for BEST HORROR THRILLER at the 2010 World Music and Independent Film Festival in Washington, DC. Ugarek has also won the BEST ZOMBIE FILM AWARD at the 2009 Fright Night Film Fest and has been nominated an additional 5 times including:

Best Score
Best Special FX
Best Cinematography
Best Horror Film
Best Micro Budget film

Ugarek’s film has been on a wild Rollercoaster ride since its premiere in 2008. Deadlands 2 has gone to accomplish many feats not normally associated with Low Budget/Micro Budget cinema. The films has seen releases on DVD, VOD, HD DVD and now Blu-Ray… and there is more to come. Deadlands 2 expects to storm JAPAN and the UK very soon as well as many other international territories.

Also of note writer/director Gary Ugarek is about to start production on a third and final Deadlands film titled – DEADLANDS III: The New World. Deadlands 3 will follow three separate groups of survivors in the zombie infested world and how each group deals with conflict and survival.
