'Let's just say I work for the blah blah blah and they gave me a license
...to blah."
Worst. Writing. Ever.
...to blah."
Worst. Writing. Ever.
Yeah, that line was the pinnacle of subtlety.
Guy 1: Oh My God, I found a penny!
Guy 2: You B@stard!

Let's not judgeNo.. Let's.
I generally don't go into a theater to say anything, unless it's a masterpeice.
Let's qualify that by telling you the very last movie I saw in theater: Legion.
No, not a masterpeice. Look, I was out of town with my wife. We were board. There was NOTHING to do.
But before that I saw It's Complicated. Three great actors. Funny movie.
Anyway, Kutcher WAS good in Butterfly effect. Nothing else he does stacks up, generally because they are comedies. I love Katherine Heigl, and will watch anything she does. ANYTHING! It could be an hour long commercial, and I am there.
I lied. I won't watch Grey's anatomy.
Blame Ashton...He Should Have refused to say that line.
I agree with everyone else it was just embarrasing
Worst. Writing. Ever.

yeah, pretty stupid and unfunny line.

if i worked for the blah blah blah and had a license to blah i would blah ashton kutcher so he can no longer sully the silver screen with his awfulness.
shareI don't understand what you guys have against the line. My family and I saw a trailer to Killers when we saw Kick Ass, and we laughed at the line and how funny Ashton Kutcher said it.
shareLet's put it this way...when I was in the theatre, saw the preview for this movie and that line came up, I pretty much knew, even before it was getting 6% fresh at Rotten Tomatoes, that this movie was going to be a terrible disaster. The theatre I was in was packed and NO ONE laughed during the preview. If I remember correctly, there were even a few groans.
Well said, "Worst. Writing. Ever". And definitely lazy writing too.
Eh, i've heard WAAYYYYYY worse lines then that one, you don't know awful dialogue until you've sat through All About Steve.
shareAshton Kutcher used to be awesome I loved him in That 70's Show as Kelso and his character in The Butterfly Effect but WTF is he thinking? His hollywood career is going down in flames. Seriously.
shareIt's sort of the other way around for me, I never really cared for That 70s Show and I never found Kutcher funny or likeable on that show, so I wrote him off as an actor for awhile, but then I saw some of his films like What Happens In Vegas and A Lot Like Love and I found him pretty likeable there, and then I saw Butterfly Effect and he REALLY surprised me there, so now I think he's a competent enough actor.
shareIf all you can compare this movie to is All About Steve, that's not saying much...or if you think it's BETTER than All About Steve, then maybe you think it is more like Shakespeare?
