Just watched this, really enjoyed it. Confused by all the hate.

Thought it was really funny and had way more action than I expected. Tom Selleck was especially good as the father-in-law. Movie went by pretty fast and had nice scenery in the beginning.

same. i expected to hate it though it ended up being pretty good. though maybe it's cuz i have such low expectations for rom-coms in the first place

The film was utter garbage. You can't make sense out of something that was completely preposterous to begin with. There is no way Ashton makes a convincing government trained assassin.

A low level government intern working at (insert any of the alphabet agencies here) who accidentally gets embroiled in some international cluster fudge along with his new bride while vacationing on their honeymoon or whatever.

Now that would be funny and a lot more workable then the crap pieces this film was assembled with.

I really want to like Ashton and Kathy. I think they both have their moments in certain films. Sadly, this is definitely NOT one of them.

Yeah, the plot is horribly absurd, and just all-around wonky...but I still found it rather enjoyable. :D I seriously was really skeptical and only watched it b/c I had TBS on my channel, and just left it on the background. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm not claiming it to be the next big thing, nor would I want to watch this in my spare time in the future, but it was decent.

Absurdism is a style of humor. A style that some of us love. What would have been funnier, and especially on an absurdist level, about making the character more believable in your view?

the movie was not as bad as they would have you think. It was light-hearted, did not require a lot of thinking. Just sit back and enjoy the visuals.

loved when Casey Wilson turned out to be the sleeper assassin. that isht was funny.
