Bloodthirsty

Now I'm no expert on survival but something tells me drinking rattlesnake blood and then human blood may not be the best way to quench thirst. Wouldn't you end up throwing it up after so much which would then put you in far worst state then you were before you found your inner vampire?

Why would you throw up, unless because of your pre-conceived cultural prejudices against snakes and blood-drinking. Biologically there'd be no reason to puke: both substances (and urine) are full of nutritional value. Even drinking urine (which apparently was a cultural fad in Japan a couple of years ago) would be harmless, unless it was allowed to get "stale". Then the uric acid might overbalance the water content, making it harder to digest (I'm just guessing there -- it would certainly make it taste worse).

But you're right: if you DID throw up, you'd be more dehydrated than before. Which is one reason you drinks lots of fluids when you're sick.

i was confused by this because aren't most snakes in the desert/wilderness poisonous? and if you drink it's blood you'd drink its poison? i know you can snakes but how do you know which ones don't have venom in them?? or disease from whatever the snake has been eating/drinking.
