Indiana Jones??? SPOILERS

It seems that this movie copied Indiana Jones in a few instances. They use a staff and the sun to locate a secret room in an old city. Then they lock the demon in a crate and store it in a warehouse with other crates. I enjoyed the movie and don’t mind movies copying others but they don’t have to be so blatant about it.

And about Renée O'Connor. She was okay in this movie but she was much better in Xena. Her acting seemed kind of forced.

Si vis pacem, para bellum.

It was hilariously bad, but I anticipated it. After the staff/map room scene I just covered my eyes in shame, but the crappy CG warehouse shot put it over the top and I laughed out loud. Probably woke the neighbors. Anyway bad movie. Bad CGI, bad directing, bad writing, bad acting, bad casting, bad idea.

Let's no forget the scene where they push the statue over to break thru the wall. Or when he lifts the jar off the pedestal and sets off the booby trap.

Yah, I tuned into this movie because I am a fan of Xena and wanted to see Renee O'Conner strut her acting chops...and was sadly disappointed. I also wanted to see Tim DeKay who rocked in Carnivale. I have to say the acting was meek, at best. Tim definitely was trying to work something out of the Monster Ark script, which seemed to have been written by an 8-year-old sci fi fan. I don't blame the actors too much, they tried (though I think Renee tuned out entirely, I would to if I just read that bad script.)
Everything was really predictable and "hokey". I don't know what producer on the sci-fi would give this script a green light. Maybe the director/writer owns the channel or something...or the sci-fi channel will take anything from a film 101 script writing class, If so, I have a few scripts I wrote back in college if sci-fi is reading this. And I laughed at every Indiana Jones similarity, it was kind of sad that there was no creativity at all to think outside the box. I was hoping that this film was sort of "tongue in cheek," but if it was meant to be that way, the execution failed and it took itself too seriously. SO, I just think it was a really bad sci-fi original.

Yea the obvious Raiders Rip-offs were a bit much.

*The Map Room Scene and using the staff to locate the secret room
*Toppling the giant statue to bust down a wall
*The Crate in the warehouse

I just think it' amusing that you put SPOILERS in your title. I doubt anyone is going to get upset if you ruin the ending to this movie.

They also stole the idea of The Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword who protected the grail in the movie Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

one of the worst films ive ever seen

Tim DeKay the lead was good. Renee O'Connor phoned in her performance. The others were about average quality.

Let's not forget the Harrison Ford overact-a-look-a-sound-alike lead. He tried to sound even more like him than - him.
I thought Monster Ark would be monsters of every species saved, not one that even-God-doesn't-know-how would destroy the world, yet could be contained by a wooden crate. Eek.

Featuring the tomb of a Knight from the Crusade also smacks of Indiana 3.
