What True 'Urban Legend' Shocked You the most?

The true "urban legend" that shocked me the most was the one where the mayor's home was invaded by SWAT members that shot both of his dogs dead. I was hoping this story wouldn't be true, but it was. I find it infuriating that a governmental agency would willingly shoot two innocent dogs without any regard for their lives, and shove an elderly woman to the ground, without feeling any remorse about it, over something like marijuana, that wasn't even his to begin with. Not, that I'm pro-drugs, it's just that marijuana isn't something anybody or anything should be shot or killed over. The mayor didn't seem too upset about the situation, if that were me, I would have been hysterical and would of cussed out the SWAT team big time for being beyond incompetent and cruel morons.

Also, the one where that idiotic Danish blonde girl thought that she and her "progressive" reporting group would make a statement by eating a cat. I can't believe she thought that that would enlighten people to how food industry animals are treated, if the unequal manner in which food industry and domestic animals are treated upsets her so much, why doesn't she just go vegetarian/vegan? After all, that would be treating all animals the same way too. Instead, she thought that by eating a cat, she would show people how all animals are basically equal, but currently treated unequally. Well, she basically only proved that's she's just a sadistic nut, I don't call that "progressive."

Hello there.

That one was on my tv 5 minutes ago. I thought it was quite true because everyone behaved as you would expect them too, especially swat teams that storm houses with itchy trigger fingers.

In fact I might start a thread on that. If the UB is basically angry man commits crime in strange setting then it is probably true because those stories are easy to find.

What Danish girl eating a cat? Was it supposed to be taking place in Denmark? Because I can assure you, living in Denmark, I have NEVER heard of this!

It's on the episode called "Beyond Belief" & it supposedly happened in 2008 in a town called Aarus. That so called reporter sounded & looked like such a bitch when she was telling her disgusting tale to the camera. She said it was a really big deal in Denmark when the story broke.
