Release Date - 21st or 7th August?

(As far as I know, this is about the North American release date, or possibly the 'international' one. Oddly enough, the UK gets Shorts before we do...at least if the 21st is the right date)

I know that I'm probably posting in a board where no one will reply due to lack of interest, but I'm personally *seriously* looking forward to this and my entire month of August is essentially revolved around Shorts' premiere.

The problem is that different websites and sources have different release dates for the movie. I have seen an equal amount of sources list the date as August 7th and August 21st. Even the movie's official website has both dates - one on the main page, the other on the poster - and news articles made as erecently as the 29th of June say the August 7th date despite the fact that most official-type material seems to say the 21st by now.

I've never seen this happen before with any movie - does anybody know when the movie is actually coming to theatres?

Correct releasedate is 21st August. It was pushed back 2 weeks a few weeks ago. Some international releasedates are before that date, but are likely to be pulled from schedules (e.g. France, Belgium and the Netherlands are now TBD). UK was pushed back a week last week I thought.

But more and more info is coming out that says the 7th O-O Are they trying to trick people?

It's weird, the Warner Bros studio webiste listed it as the 7th and the official movie site (which I guess is a bit more likely to be updated) has the 21st, if the 21st is indeed the day it is kinda interesting that RR's latest movie will open directly against his buddy Taratino's film, granted they are targeting different audiences but still.

I've honestly never seen this happen for ANY movie before, so it's really weird.

Now the official site has wallpapers, buddy icons etc. and they all say 'August 21st'...as does the newest trailer (really just the second one but shorter - possibly for TV?). Ironically, the websites for some of the promotional partners, as well as movie sites like Rope of Silicon still list the date as the 7th.

In another odd date-changing phenominon, the video game adaptation of Shorts was originally scheduled for 'late July' but the confirmed date pushed it back to August 18th...yet the Amazon.com listing says it comes out on the 28th. What the frak?!
