I was the only one in my theater when I saw this...

...And I loved it! This is the third movie I've seen in theaters now without having to deal with anyone else coughing, talking on their cell, and being rude in general (the other two movies being "College Road Trip" and "Coraline").

Anyway, as a twenty-year-old, I found this movie to be very entertaining. Sure I'm out of the demographic they're aiming it at, but it was just the stress release I needed before going to my job interview (it's soooo hard to find a job in Indiana). I actually want to see it again! : )

This is the first time I've heard of this movie! I wonder why it's not getting any promotion.

Good luck on your job interview.

It got a decent amount for a bit, but after it came out, I didn't see anything since.

Thank you! : )

I just came back from seeing the movie. I was also the only one in the theater. That's the first time in my life that happened.

Isn't it great not having to deal with all of those people? : )

The very best times to go to movies with little or very few people are any day in the mornings (such as 10:00 AM showings, which are also the cheapest) or during the middle of a weekday, especially if the movie's been out for a few weeks. Because of this, we've had tons of occurances where there's just a few other people in the theater, and my mom's usually the loudest one at that point lol

It's been promoted like mad here in L.A.!

You couldn't walk a street corner without seeing an ad for it!

I wish it would have done better at the box office!

It deserves better!

reply

Really? There were a lot of previews for it here, but I don't think I saw one poster here in Indy. And yeah, it did deserve to do better!

reply

I'm sorry, but the trailer is being showed all the time in Times Square.

You're in a bigger area than mine. Indy definitely does its fair share of advertising (Meatballs and A Christmas Carol are really being pushed hard here), but I haven't seen anything for Shorts other than a lot of trailers.

reply

Same thing happened with me on Tears of the Sun and The Amytiville Horror.

But I was with friends. So we actually made our own commentaries aloud. It was a riot.

reply

lol I need to do that sometime! Problem is, I hate my friends so I need to go find new ones ; )

I feel your pain on the job issue! I had to move back home from Indiana because I couldn't find a job and I felt horrible living with my boyfriend but not being able to financially help... So that was a bad way to end a relationship... Good luck to you!

I haven't ever been to a movie alone... I bet it's wonderful! I'd probably see this when it hits the dollar theater but until then I can't spare any moolah. Bah.

Thank you! : ) Unfortunatley, I ended up not getting the job I interviewed for, but I have done another interview since then, so fingers crossed! As for my boyfriend, he currently lives in Virginia, but he will be moving here next year. He wanted me to come to Virginia, but with the incredibly high cost of living out there, there was no way that was going to happen. once we start saving up some money here, we want to move to Orlando : )

Oh, it really is great! Especially since whenever we do go to the movies and other people are there, they *always* either take the seat right next to us or cough and sneeze the entire time... or both! It's really gross...

I'm 31 and I enjoyed this movie. I like Coraline, too.
