What an IDIOTIC FILM!

Is anyone here actually stupid enough to believe that when people go missing ....NO ONE CALLS THE POLICE???

No signs of the police until after a fire? And THEN the police are stupid enough not to know it was a homicide? I don't know what those idiots that wrote this were thinking, but if as many people in real life went missing as in this movie, there would be police everywhere.

How utterly stupid can you get?

And YES they can tell if homicides were committed even after a place has burnt down. Only a fool would think otherwise.

Might as well watch tinkerbell.

This movie is about as believable!

this movie isn't set up in middle of new york or any other big city where CSI swoops down and find a hair follicle of the killer inside the burned down house. am sure if they had carried out investigations they would have found that the people inside house were victims of homicide, but in that small town you don't expect the police to be very pursuant of what appears to be outright case of house fire.
Grow up and understand that in all cases there are issues beyond science and logic which determine the depth of investigation.namely whether there is enough manpower and skilled people in the team investigating the case.

Not only those points but they show the various Newspaper articles that were published about the disappearances but in that size of town and area, as stated above it's not easy getting the manpower needed.

Depending on how long the fire was burning there probably wasn't much left of the bodies for the police to even determine a homicide had even been committed. Also it all took place in 1994 forensics have come a long way since then so its not so unbelievable that the police would just put it down to a domestic fire.

"Its just a ride"
