Blu-Ray/DVD Audio supposed to be crap?

The music/score sounds fine and strong, but the dialogue sounds just absolutely effing awful. It sounds hollow and cheaper than my camcorder...do all of the the DVDs/Blu-Ray's sound like that?

Same here.

I didn't have any problems with levels, but I did notice that the dialogue sounded quite tinny in several scenes.

I didn't notice any problems with the audio on the copy I have. One thing I noticed is that the audio is only AC3 640Kbps on a 1080p x264 rip, when it's usually DTS or at least Dolby digital. Can't say if this had anything to do with the Bluray source, but several different encodes only had AC3 as well.

Audio is quite poor. No idea how it is on Blu-ray. I saw the DVD and grabbed it didn't even think to look for the BD. Best Buy normally doesn't carry these movies on BD around here so I didn't bother looking.

Oh well at least I saved a few $$$

Darling, you can't rape a townie.

It sounds better on my parents' system than mine, so I don't know what's up with it. Oh well. I still enjoy it.

It is like the dialog is only in stereo, no center channel.
There is a german bluray with audio that does not suck.
