I'm sorry, but I just want to let everyone know that the reviews that have been posted here are BS. This movie is not extreme, or super bloody, or really violent, or scary. Honestly, everything the reviewers have mentioned never happens in the movie. Someone mentioned that the "classmates" acting were very good and resembled the manga, and I'm assuming that they're talking about Tomie's classmates, but guess what: THERE ARE NO CLASSMATES IN THIS MOVIE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T TAKE PLACE AT A SCHOOL.

And another thing someone posted "One scene where our troupe are down in an underground station talking and stuff, you can still here stuff happening above. Explosions, gunfire, creatures roaring etc. You really feel like you're in the midst of this thing. Like a demon roller coaster ride from hell! Like "The Host" but far superior." Uhh ... what? Explosions? Gunfire? Creatures roaring? There are no explosions. There's fire, but no explosions. Gunfire? Maybe one. Creatures roaring? Tomie screams in one part if that's what they meant. And NONE of the characters go to an underground station. And what does he mean you can still hear stuff from above? This isn't War of the Worlds for crying out loud.

Listen, this is a great movie, it might even be the best in the series, but all the comments/reviews it has been getting here on IMDB are just dumb. Unless they're confusing it with another movie, but that's highly unlikely. Go google a review from someone's blog instead.

I'm really glad the Tomie films have been improving, but I'm still waiting for a film that really captures Junji Ito's manga, the imagery, the terror. The films are good in my opinion, even though a lot of people do not like them at all, but they do not live up to the manga, AT ALL, which is why, I think, people don't like them all too much. I'm a huge fan of the manga, and although I love the films, I want something more. Something better. A film with a good story, a great actress to play Tomie, a lot of familiar imagery and regenerating scenes from the manga, as well as intense moments from the manga and great suspense. Damn it, why doesn't the guy who made Uzamaki or Tokyo Gore Police make a Tomie movie??

Any idea how long it will take for this to come to region 1?

I bought the first on eon a whim when I saw the first three at a store. I enjoyed it, and picked up the other two the next day. I've been snatching them up as soon as they've been available since, and have been very patient with this one.

I'm wondering what we'll see first… this or the Whole Bloody Affair?
Well, this of course, but when?

Actually, I have no clue when it will be released in region 1. It should have been released already, but there's still no sign of any release dates in the US, so they'll either never release it or it'll take a while. I'll let you know though.
