I have no idea. I watch it because my wife likes it. There are a couple funny moments - but people act like it's the next Seinfeld or something. In terms of pure laughs it's about a 5/10. I think it's the fact that Americans are really into wildly alternate-realities and football.

First of all, when an unfunny show wins for best comedy, that bothers me. There were more deserving candidates.
Also, I was watching because of the insane IMDB ratings, which turned out to be comprehensively untrue.
This is an inexplicably overrated show.
Kudos to the truth. It is a mediocre feel good show with infantile plots which is pushed by the members of the Television Academy who are garnished by the producers from Apple which also led to 98 % critical acclaims at Rotten Tomatoes... but do not compare the ratings (especially the difference of the critics and the audience) with Seinfeld or Curb your Enthusiasm or you suddenly get named a troll by "TruMovieFan".
