sea cow
how did it move?
sharePerhaps it didn't? Perhaps it was all in the heads of the couple. You aren't meant to know as the viewer of the film.

I just can't find an immobile sea cow to be much of a threat. I suppose it was creepy that it ended up at the camp, but so what? I mean was it going to stare Caviezel to death? Laughable.
sharethis is not a good movie. its just a bunch of random creepy things put togther without any explanation. try not to put logic and reason into it. hope that answer your question.

The image is reminiscent of the moving boulders in the Racetrack Playa, CA. Has anyone given a good explanation? :)
The Sea Cow comes closer, it is still dead, Peter shot it. It represents his guilty conscience and the revenge of the nature that death will come and get Peter. The Nature is somehow punishing Peter and his wife for their sins.
In my opinion, the scenes with the sea cow and its baby were somehow moving and creepy at the same time.
At the end, when the sea cow is next to Peter i guess it is just meant to be symbolical rather than that someone really carried the dead sea cow.
the film silmply wants to say "don't *beep* with mother nature, don't destroy it, don't dirty it and avoit abortion". We cannot fight Nature, it will always strike back.
I would give it a 7 out of 10, really enjoyed it!
^ Totally agree!
right. it was his guilt plus he was also sick or hallucinating from the snake or insect bite or maybe he had a concussion from the fall. he was also smoking weed. so who knows what was real. i actually started doubting myself at some point. lol>>> but i think his bitchy ass wife actually saw the reality of their situation & he didnt. i also enjoyed this movie.
shareIt scared the *beep* out of me!
shareI was able to at least attempt to take this movie seriously up until this point. Then I just guffawed and gave up. Given the leading man, that awesome dog, and the beautiful location, it could have been a really good film...
sharei thought it was funny
