Do yall really hate this movie because Goku is white?

I'm sure it's high on their radar, but it's not the only reason. The most obvious being that the film is so different from the source material. The mythology was completely rewritten. I do prefer this film's version of Chi-Chi, though.

Asian Actors have a hard time getting good roles and when a good role does come its whitewashed most of the time. Also this movie is Nothing like Dragon Ball and even if it was not called Dragon Ball its still a horrible film.

Yes, because every alien that comes to Earth are always default as white, but most of all, he acted too much like a cliche white boy being the weirdo of his school. The school part was the worst part of the movie than the race on my scale. It doesn't seem like Goku at all. Goku never went to school and would never choose love over fighting.

We hate it because: It sucked.

I actually love this movie, it's obviously a crappy movie though. The problem wasn't so much the main character Goku, because whether he should have been Japanese or not is debatable. A lot of people wanted a re-imagining of the series on screen. A lot of people wanted a movie with out cheesy cliches, good writing, and good directing.
