I really liked Evan's character because he let Sarah sort of push him around, and he didn't react angrily. But when she needed him to be there, he was. I thought the romantic part of the plot played out quite nicely.

That part was left up in the air for the audience to work out.

My take? - after she responded to him (quite nicely), you would think so!
