Excellent Film

As a well off white woman from los angeles, i never fully grasped the problems of girls like these. this was an eye opener for me. the glorification of the pimp as a mythic character, esp in the hip hop and rap community is a crime. after watching this film and seeing the disgusting way these children are preyed upon, i have realized that girls being sold into this type of slavery is a problem that is not being addressed properly by the law. i admire rachel lloyd for doing the work she is doing and have found a new charity to donate to. i hope everyone who sees this movie learns that glorifying pimps in any way is wrong, and that the victims are more often than not 13 year old girls.

No more home school? No more clarinets?

A few things I liked about the documentary:

- Told the story of child prostitution from the exploited kids point of view. Basically, showed the lie to the mythology that all prostitutes make the educated decision to get into the sex industry. In reality, it's enterprising adult men taking advantage of naive, emotionally hungry, unadult supervised teenagers going through puberty. Taking full advantage of all those raging hormones swirling around.

- Actually made an effort to make the johns the bad guys. Usually, the john is barely in the picture, it's all about the pimps and working girls. I wish I had a brick for the fool, making jokes in the john education class. I guess everything's an effing joke to a loser who has to buy sex from a 14 year old girl.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
