Showtime and the Movie Channel

Have the producers tried shopping the film to Showtime or the Movie Channel?

reply

That will be happening soon, after the DVD hits North America on November 30th. There will also be a pay-per-view and digital download push at some point.

So, you have cut a deal with Showtime? If so, when would Showtime or TMC air Shadowland? Spring 2011?

reply

Sorry, let me respond a little more carefully - I think I lead you astray there:

We haven't actually pitched it to any of the cable networks yet (other than SyFy) as we have been so overly occupied with the DVD release, but we will dive into that as soon as the DVD stuff is done. We have leads and connections to the cable deals, but just haven't pursued them yet. Sorry to mislead you.

We have no worries that Shadowland will be on one of the cable networks. Our first feature, Guardian of the Realm, released in 2006, played Showtime and TMC over the course of a year or more, starting in early 2007. Once we know when and where it will play, we can let you know.

Thanks,

Is the film going to be available via Redbox and Netflix?

reply

Redbox, no, but Netflix, yes. I don't think it has shown up in their system yet, but when it does, we'll let you know.
