It ended with a credit roll ;)

But seriously, you can rent it from Amazon for under 2 bucks & fast forward to the ending if you wish . . .

Or BUY the DVD / Blu-ray here: http://www.redvelvetmovie.com

Okay, so how did this end? Seriously?

reply

It ended with his mom combing back to haunt him and he freaks out and falls through the window and dies. I think it was a tip of the hat to Hitchcock on some level, maybe maybe not.

A really really dumb ending. Sorry oranjcat i know you worked hard on this movie but as much as you retweaked it. You just couldn't get the ending right. Should of just let him get away with it and live and enjoy the peace and quiet in his apt.

Strange, that is exactly where the dvd I rented hung up too. I assumed it was seconds before the credits. I was really enjoying it up until the endings.

Oops. I'd love to know where you rented it (and in which country). The version that ends with the coins coming out is the pirated version, which shouldn't be available for rent. The official version is only available at Amazon and will be available at FEARnet (online and through Comcast) starting Halloween).

Just watched this on FEARnet a couple of days ago. Honestly, I think ending with the coins is a better ending. The majority of the film was great, but it really does breakdown at the end there.

Watch RED VELVET *Free* on FEARnet (with the ending intact)! http://www.fearnet.com/movies/b20794_red_velvet.html

Not bad. Strange Ending(s). 6/10

just got done watching it on my television on the fearnet channel...it only cut out the swearing and nudity (silence when they sweara nd nudity blurred out), everything else was intact, including the blood and gore, which i really liked (i think that's how they should edit ALL R rated movies on television, i HATE when they cut out important scences or make some scenes shorter!), but anyway, i thought the story was extremely intriguing from the start...i wasn't sure what to expect from the description time warner gave on it ("a girl hears a horror story about a guy in a pain suit killing people at a b-day party")..really time warner? that's the best you could do to get people interested?? but i digress...so after the first 5 minutes i was compelled to keep watching...the dialogue and interaction between aaron and garner's characters was so great and realistic (i thought this was the most enjoyable part)..i also liked the supernatural feal it had at some points, and how i kept expecting the story he was telling to actually start to happen in real life...i kinda guessed aaron would be the killer, but you got me when garner hits her sister in the head with the hammer..great setup...the ending caught me off gurard a lil tho, i didn't really "get" the whole boyfreind kicking aaron into the glass and the mom from his story showing up..so was he being haunted by his mom? i noticed before he takes gardner to the cabin, he says "who's there?" in his apartment by himself, so maybe this hinted towards that...overall, very good horror/comedy film...some really great camera shots (ex. gardner and aaron walking back into their apartment and the camera does a long shot with a flip..very cool!)..this has to be hands down the best i've seen since 'behind the mask: the rise of leslie vernon'...i love how the movie doesn't insult its viewers and is actually pretty intelligent, with its self-awareness and maybe a tongue-cheek "haha" at the genre, when it seems all horror movies these days are nothing but torture porn with uninteresting characters...found this movie very refreshing, and i'm so glad i took the time to watch it...i mean, i've never even heard of this film until i glanced through fearnet...which is quite a shame really...some of the stupidest, unscary, and unintelligent horror movies are making it to a world-wide theatrical run, while gems like this go mostly unnoticed...i'm definitely going to make a point to tell my friends about this and to give it a chance..i'm sure they'll be intrigued by the story from the get-go like i was..

also, i wouldn't say this movie is real scary, but that doesn't matter when the main characters involved are so interesting...i found this to be the same with 'behind the mask'..not too scary, but the great storytelling and characterizations made up for it...i'll take movies like 'red velvet' ANY DAY over the stupid saw movies and/or another remake of a SUPERIOR original..

bravo, on a film well-made...can't wait to see what the writer/directors has planned next..
