Did an article on the top ten movies of 2009. Happily put Goodbye Solo at #1. I do really think it's the best film to have to come out in the past twelve months. A beautifully done picture.
Amazing movie! Easily best movie I've seen in a few years! I don't understand why more movies like this arent made and why this movie is pretty much unknown?
This is simply humane, not that good, maybe, but Red and Souleymane gave a tremendous performance on the essence of what binds people and the inability to really connect but short of the past, feel what binds us. And in the end it just fails, not the film but life... What's left is about the question what lingers in life, is it our relation to others or what we have achieved... It's not a joyful question to youngsters like my daughters but well, we have to conclude on this inevitable question, life is about nearly nothing but what we wish it to be...
Read your reply. Too late, sorry. Thank you. Too few people seem to realize what being "related" means anymore. Not within religion or any other conviction. I care for every human while not being an humanitarian focused person. No, I think that every living human deserves a life without having to worry about tomorrow. If we could just get that together...
