Was she pregnant with foreman?

After Ramchand's mother got involved with her foreman, I thought she looked pregnant just before he disappointed her. Her belly seemed to protrude quite a bit. If so, the movie seems to gloss over what happened to that baby. What do you think would be the likely story in a case like that? Would she have carried it to term?
