Telling the teacher is always the best thing to do

As someone who experienced bullying myself (for 3 years before I did something about it), I only wish I told a teacher right away. I'm sick of all of these movies that seem to send this message about being "strong" and "standing up" for yourself, and then somehow everything works out in the end. Real life doesn't work that way. As embarassing as it is to tell someone, it's better than the suffering you endure by being bullied.
