Props to the OP! You must have slits in your corneas to look at Amanda and call her fat. She looks like a perfectly normal teenager, and you must be a truly insensitive as*hole to think otherwise.

She's not fat, she's just not stick thin. God forbid not everyone on TV is a size 2, geez.

seriously? you need to grow up. I've seen fat and Amanda is far from fat. She's got some meat on her bones, that's a given, but she's not fat. And Mandy Moore isn't stick thin either. She teeters back and forth between slim and average. you want stick thin? Keira Knightley, Paris Hilton, Kate Bosworth, THEY are stick thin! Amanda is average with a little extra padding. Apparently, you, Tim, like to feel bones poking you during love-making. I suggest that if you prefer bedding a skeleton, go to an old graveyard. I feel sorry for any woman that's with you because God forbid she gains a little weight or *gasps* gets pregnant!!!! You know women pack on pounds when they're pregnant?! Dumbass.

'She is bigger then Mandy Moore hence she's fat'

...

I'm not even going to address that.

Mandy Moore is like six feet. She's a healthy size eight. I'd peg Amanda for about a 6-8, and maybe 5'7. She's a normal teenager.

I'm 5'1, 15 years old, and weigh 106 pounds. I'm a ballerina. It's normal for me, since I do a lot of dancing, which burns calories like crazy.

Anyway, that last bit was just so you guys wouldn't be all: 'OMG EFFING CHUBB U NEED 2 PUT DOWN THE FORK AMANDA IS FAT'.

Chyeah, biznatches.

Amanda isn't fat. She isn't skinny, either. She's probably near the top of her BMI, but in no way is she over it.

Ah, but that's normal in AMURICA. Billions are starving. Normal in the world outside AMURICA is forty pounds and having ribs showing. So since she's normal, she must be starving.

Haha. No, she's chubby (and I don't think MANDY MOORE has meat on her bones! She's so skinny, but it's not like she can help it) but she's NOT fat.

I need to get in on this. Once upon a time I had a body pretty close to Amanda's (size 12). I was ok with that- but nobody else was. So you know what happened? I became anorexic! Yay! And you know what? People started telling me I was gross again, but this time it was because I was too THIN. So after losing forty-five pounds and 10 dress sizes, (yes! I was a 2!) my body was still unapealling to these people. Then I started thinking...who the hell cares what they think? I sure don't! Their standards shouldn't define what I look like! Today I am about a 4-6 and you know what? I'm fine with that. Alot of my stick friends still call me fat and alot of my fat friends still call me stick. I've learned I will never please these people so why try? They're just not worth it. I have a feeling Amanda probably feels the same way. So go jump in a lake.

WHO CARES WHETHER OR NOT AMANDA IS FAT! Its HER body so its HER business. Its not open for anyone to judge whether she needs to lose weight or not. Seriously some of the topics up for discussion are so frivolous. Get over it, its not your problem or your body

Ok. I think that some people's sense of what's normal is a little off. Just because most of the people in the U.S is overweight doesn't mean it's normal. People who are morbidly obese are now called fat and people who are fat are considered "normal" size. Let's face facts Amanda is fat, she looks at least 15 pounds over weight and anyone who thinks she's not is in denial. However, I don't think she's out of shape because she works out so at least she gets exercise. I have no idea what the source of weight gain is and it's not really my business but just from the looks of he body and her height she is definitely overweight. Also I think people should stop with the "stick thin" "skeletor" comments because you come off sounding as judgemental and ignorant as those calling people who are overweight "pigs". You can't protect one body type and ridicule another then say that people shouldn't judge other's bodies. Overweight, underweight its unhealthy either way.

My name? If you knew that you'd be as clever as me.

i think she's chubby, not really fat, but i do agree that our views on weight have been skewed. it annoys me when really chubby girls or fat girls say things like "i'm proud that i have curves. i don't want to be stick-thin". no one is asking these women to be stick thin. there's an in-between weight that is normal and healthy. i think mandy moore is an example of that and women like jlo and beyonce are on the end of that "normal, in between" box. and being fat doesn't mean you have curves. i know plenty of fat girls who don't have curvy butts. they may have wide butts, but they're butts aren't really shapely. i think many americans want to feel better about themselves so they lie and distort reality. if amanda really does work out (she might have just done it for the show) and if she eats healthy, then she's at a healthy weight for her, but she is a bit chubby. she's not what normal should be.

Umm why does it matter so much? I hope most of you know how immature this whole thing is. Why are people freaking out so much over someone else's body? It shouldn't matter if she is fat or not. Its not our bodies so why make such a big deal about it. I don't think anyone here has a right to be judging her so much. I think most people just feel so safe because they are hiding behind a computer, and they feel like they can just rail against someone else just because they are on T.V. I think Amanda has major guts to go onto T.V. and be the lead in a show where most people on T.V. has to be an ideal weight and if they aren't then things like this pop up. I'm not going to sit here and say she is fat or not all I have to say is WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN BODY fat or not. STOP obsessing over someone else's body because guess what?!? NEWS FLASH: Your opinion doesn't matter...its not like you would ever tell her to her face so give it up.

You know Tim, I absolutely love how every time someone in this thread disagreed with your way of thinking you immediately insulted them by calling them "chubbs" or fat or some other disparaging remark in regards to weight. I responded negatively to your initial comment and the best you could come at me is a fat joke? You don't even know me nor have you even seen me. What makes you assume I'm fat? Just because I'm telling you to stop poking fun at a girl on TV and calling her fat when she is far from "fat" doesn't mean i'm fat myself jackass. Seriously, are you that insecure? You say that you have no problem with girls who are bigger and that you DON'T like rail thin girls yet you seem to down others and accuse them of being "fat" in this thread simply for shooting down your opinion. I'm guessing that you are a person who regularly makes fun of fat people in his real life OR you are a fat person (or a former fatty) yourself and this is some sick way of boosting your dangerously low self-esteem. You want to make ridiculous assumptions? Well, two can play this game!
