Do you think anyone actually reads their paper?

Okay, so I know at my school, no one ever read the paper, or at the most just skimmed it for five minutes read the headlines and then threw it away. I remember we ended up using the paper in my art class to cover the tables when we painted. Now my school's news paper crew wasn't nearly as hardcore as this paper is, but do you think anyone but the people who are in the class actually care about it?

Well my brother used to go to Cypress from freshman to junior year. So I asked him, does anyone actually care about the paper? He said no. So I was like be honest, like do they even pay attention to it? He said no again. Also a lot of people from Cypress are saying that someone paid for the show. Reminding you that Weston (where Cypress is and where I lived) is a very rich town so you never know.

That would be such a kick in the ass, if all their whining was for nothing.

I go to Cypress. We read the paper even before we knew there was going to be a show about it and we still read it now.

reply

At my school everybody read the paper and it was nothing close to the caliber of Cypress's paper

reply

I know a lot of schools have apathetic student bodies that don't read the paper and Cypress is probably one of them.

At our HS however EVERYONE reads the paper. It's very good and has won lots of awards, but this seems to be more the exception than the rule.

A lot of people at Cypress read the paper. People all over Weston read it, and they've been reading it even before the show came out

Yeah a lot of people love the paper they write. But the show they put on Fridays gets more audience and far better. Aftershock... ALL THE WAY!!!!

when i was in high school, a good amount of people read our paper

and, not to brag or anything, they mostly read the sports section and my columns (i was after all the best sportswriter for that school's paper EVER)

but also, our big issues (Homecoming, Prom, last issue/Senior Edition) always were well read

and we could've taken on Cypress Bay ANYDAY, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!

Their 70 or so members against our 7 member, 16 page beauty!

even if people didn't read it, the main point of the paper for the students is for college credentials.

Thank you. Speaking of college and school papers. Yes, 100 people out of 10,000 read the paper......horrible numbers.
I went to cypress bay high school, and Yes people read the paper. It was a pretty good paper, if you cared about school activities.
