Surprisingly Good

Just finished watching it: the writing and acting in this movie was pretty decent for a B-movie. I hope Sci Fi keeps it up

I think what topped things off was that the cast was very commited yet did not take things too seriously. After all, they are fighting a creature made out of rock...making this movie any darker than it needed to be would've been a disaster:

Yeah, it actually was.
This and "Basilisk" were, I think, among the only somewhat good movies Sci- Fi Channel's churned out. It didn't take itself too seriously, the characters weren't too irritating (The girl who was traveling with them and ended up falling for a local dude was a bit annoying at first, but she got better as the story went on),the effects for the monster were actually okay- looking, and the story was at least interesting.

Well in talking about that serious part, there was a real funny line during the film. You remember when the group first heads into the bar and the guys spot that hot lady, and then the female counter-part says "congratulations you learned how to count to 10." hahaha that was hilarious. She was just jealous.

It wasn't a bad movie. I thought it was one of Sci Fi's better offering in quite a while. Just the right mixture of action and humor.

I thought Toni wanting a bigger gun was funny.

I liked the premis of some travelers stumbling into a situation that gets out of control in some creapy part of Eastern Europe - It reminded me a bit of the old Hammer Production movies that came out in the 60's and 70's starring Peter Cushing, and Cristopher Lee.

Not as good as I thought, but not all bad. I must have missed the part of the relation between the American guy and his female friend. I thought it was his girlfriend, but she must just have been a friend, because of later happenings. Someone commented on the bad guy's name being typical eastern European.... well they ARE in eastern Europe. I liked the army Colonel and the dialogue between him and the hero. And the back story, though light, is explained, but its kinda quick. All in all, pretty good.

Good acting? Am I on the wrong message board? The acting stunk like an old rock monster!

more ham in this film than a butchers shop.

your opinion is the wrong one.

That movie was hilarious....definitely entertaining so it served it's purpose. What the hell was with Toni and the bigger guns. That place was filled with weapons, what they hell, and somehow she was qualified and had the know-how to use all of them.

Well hell...pilgrim...this is what the good old 'B' movie is all about after all. Limited plot and story line, some eye-candy and damsels in distress...everything a little spin off at times...more eye-candy...

Besides, on an afternoon in Vietnam and this is all there is on Star Movies and every channel besides CNN is a wash, yep, I'll watch a little T&A with a slim plot and just drink a beer, or two!!

Three thumbs up, lol
