Movie?

I know it has been scrapped and rumors of revival and such. From what I have heard it is due to budget. I think the gaming community would accept a bioshock film or series of films in any way. I wish they would do something like dead space did with animation or even like final fantasy movies. The city and story alone are so enjoyable, id love to watch it. A miniseries would be neat following development of rapture and follow different characters living there. It would be very cool to see decline of civilization. The action in the game is amazing but the concept of the city, the advertisements, the music, characters are enough for me to enjoy. Hell I'd even donate to a crowd funded movie if it was available!
