Where did Bobby come from all of a sudden? Esther had a baby GIRL. Then a few scenes later Bobby is playing with Frank and the little girl is nowhere to be seen. What did I miss??? Did Esther get pregnant again and have a boy? That was clearly her son, that was obvious. But I was truly puzzled. Any help would be appreciated!

We did see Esther giving birth with Marjorie helping her. Given Bobby's presence in the film, we should probably assume that the baby was a boy.
We did NOT see Ada give birth, but we did see a midwife give a newborn to Ada, commenting that it was a healthy girl.
It's not that hard to figure out- When we hear Majorie's letter to her parents, she writes she had a fine young boy.
shareI got the impression that the time line was off between Esther's actual pregnancy and giving birth, to what Marjorie was writing home. You will recall that Esther is well-advanced and showing when they hatch the plan.
Just after Esther gives birth to Bobby, Marjorie writes home,"... and you may think I'm crazy but I have this feeling it is going to be a boy."
The timeline was definitely off, but what difference would that really make to Marjorie's parents when the letters got there via boat? Marjorie had to stick with her own timeline because of the letter she had already written to her parents telling them she was pregnant.

Ada gave birth to her daughter with the help of midwife, the baby even got cold when she was hold by Ada.
Esther gave birth to Bobby in a snowy winter night as CGI was used as a background, Marjorie was the midwife.
Marjorie lost her baby and lost her fertility, her husband was agony for their fate, while Esther told Marjorie she didn't want the Jewish offspring, she and Marjorie and Hans had oath for adopting Bobby as their own kid. Esther's motherly nature tricked her and she just could not let go the feeling over her own son, tried every possible way to get close to Bobby, and Marjorie, as the "mother" of Bobby, protected him by alienating Esther right after Esther gave birth, and kept on doing so for all her life.
Frank, lover of Ada and Esther, remain single (seemingly); Esther, never had kid again (seemingly) and didn't live with Frank ever since, only because she had her new lover (the assistant) in the fashion design store.
