Maybe a stupid ? but...

I've watched thru S8 and followed the message boards until I found out Canadian TV wasn't going to allow S10 air in the USA. Please don't give any unasked for spoilers.

Did Amy have the baby yet?
If so, what was it named?
Is the show still good or going downhill?

For non-USA citizens: Does the USA put restrictions on your television viewing? If so, where are you from and what shows?

No, not yet.

I'd say so. The show felt like it was originally intended to end by Season 4. Season 10 isn't too bad but it's not great either.

reply

i'm assuming that she'll have it for the season ender.....

Haven't had the baby yet. I think the show as started to grab to hard onto that family friendly approval rating and has become to cheesy almost. I feel like the earlier seasons had more edge and snark.

reply

I think this season started out slow, but now I can't wait for Jan 15 to see what happens.

reply

That's a dreadfully long wait for a new episode. :(

reply

I asked about the baby's name because awhile back there was a game to name him/her and I guessed Ty Jackson (TJ ). You said you'd be disappointed if that didn't happen. I just wanted to know if I was right.

I am in the US and only saw up to season 7. How do I see the rest?

reply

You can watch it on CBC's website.

reply

a woman that i talk to via a yahoo group...has watched to season 9...not sure where she watches...but i do know that she watches it...and it's kind of current...

so no, the US didn't stop at season 7-8

You can also watch most seasons on Netflix or Amazon Video. The more current ones (8, 9, and hopefully 10) are also shown in the US on the cable station UP.

reply

Do you have Netflix? They are a two seasons behind, but I was so glad when I found it.

reply

You can buy all the seasons on ioffer.com.

I'm in the USA and Heartland airs every Sunday @ 7pm in my area.
The only restrictions I can think of, as far TV broadcasts are concerned, would be with new movies.
It puts the public in a position to pay money to see the flick.
Once everyone's had a chance to make their money, then it goes out on the airwaves.
The only way to see a new movie for free is to either sneak into the theatre or watch it on a pirate website....which I don't recommend.
...btw, I missed yesterday's episode because I was too engrossed in the playoffs....dammit.

Tell me, you love your country?
Well, I've just died for it.

You must be one of the fortunate folks who live close enough to the US/Canada border to be able to pick up CBC's broadcasts.

I am and when I was a kid , I could pick up 3 different Canadian TV stations.
However, since the TV went digital about 5-6 years ago, and thus made the good ol' Antenna obsolete, I'm just lucky enough to have the local cable conglomerate carry ONE Canadian station as part of my service, these days.
Write to your local cable company and see if you can't have a Canadian station added to your service....or just watch it on the net. =)

Hi Heartlanders,

No baby yet so no name yet, I personally love the show, it has lost a lil bit of its edge from the 1st few seasons but the storyline is basically the same, saving horses and family, I think they are either looking to make a spinoff or if/when Amber/Amy retires/quits the show they will have Georgie take her place as the "horse whisperer" by the way they are showing her following Amys footsteps, time will tell, this is JMO. Hope this helps.

I live in FL and watch Heartland on DISH the UP channel or The CW when they play it but its not up to date with the new season, that being said, I watch the up to date season/epi online, for free, on an awesome website called PRIMEWIRE.AG, it has so many tv shows and movies its unbelievable, but its totally free, no give us your c.c. info 1st, no downloading etc, it took me a lil bit to figure out which links work for me but Ive been watching stuff on it for about 6-9 yrs now. Its worth the try, I watched the last epi an hour after it aired on tv or rather CBC. Good luck and enjoy it if you try it out.
