lou

i know that there's a thead already for her, but i don't want to take the time to find it, and besides, we only have a week

but i want to know why everyone has to cater into her...

i odn't know how to do spoilers....so don't read after this if you don't want to

lou bought the baby a carriage, and lisa and jack bought the exact same one...and lisa gave in, and said, well since you're the sister, you keep it...

what i want to know is why in all the tv shows i've seen of this kind, they all have to do the same thing....someone buys a carriage, or a baby gift, and it turns out to be the same thing

and i also want to know why lisa or others always have to get lou to get her way....

the next gift from lisa and jack is a work in progress.......but still.....lou always has to get her way in the end

... Because arguing with Lou Fleming is recipe for total meltdown. it'll be all about how Lou is always the one who's put out, always the suffering one, always persecuted, never respected, etc., etc., etc., etc.

Better to let the whiner have her way than to go down that road.

It look Lisa a little while longer than most to figure this out, but she's learned that butting heads with Lou is the best way to raise one's blood pressure.

Lou is like a prima donna...she always has to get her way, always wants to have the last word on everything and always wants to nose into other people's business...trying to argue with her would raise anyone's blood pressure

reply

yeah that's what the other person said...

but just once i'd love for someone to say hey lou you're not getting your way this time

This.

I'm on season 9, just finished the episode where Mary Sue, er, Georgie ran away to Peter's apartment. Lou flies to Vancouver to retrieve her and discovers that Peter apparently has some sort of girlfriend and she is morally outraged.

Did she forget that two episodes earlier she went on a date with the insurance inspector? What a hypocrite!

reply

Just wait until you get to season 11 and Lou does everything she got mad at Peter for.

reply

I think she already did so before she got mad at Peter. She may not have gone all the way but she certainly crossed a line she can't uncross by going on the date with the building inspector.

reply

Ah yes, I just started season 10 and Lou abandons her family, not to go a couple hours away to Vancouver but way over on the other side of the continent in New York to open a diner. (Which also begs the question why would Lou be in charge of this instead of Soroya's mother since she was the one who founded the diner and Lou has just been babysitting the place for a couple years.)

Normally I would be 100% opposed to adultery but if you ever find yourself married to Lou Fleming then everybody would understand.

reply

Actually I do believe that Lou bought it from Soraya's mom. But everything else you say about Lou...yeah.

reply

She did buy it from her mom after it was already created, like Disney buying Lucasfilm after Lucas created a masterpiece.
