Why not

Use their money and resources helpless children or other disadvantaged humans?

I totally agree with you. But hey, it shows how little regard some people have for "real" people.

Personally, the feeling that I got from watching the documentary is that Ingrid is a total media junkie/whore and that the "troubles" of animals are secondary.

I will not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
I will face my fear.
I will let it pass through me.

I got the feeling that she was a complete wackjob and just settled on this cause. Comparing slavery and the Holocaust to animal slaughter is just ridiculous. I understand being against people killing animals for sport bu in terms of them being a source of food thats the natural order of things.

Wow, why don't you use YOUR resources to help disadvantaged humans, instead of coming on here bitching and whining about it? While we are on the subject, why doesn't Starbucks use all their resources to help homeless people? Why doesn't McDonald's use all THEIR resources to help starving children? What company do you work for? Does your company use THEIR resources to help disadvantaged people? My point is, if you are going to bash PETA for this, you could bash ANY organization that doesn't help people.

I've seen plenty of ronnie's rubbish on another board....how he thinks everyone who helps animals is wasting their life because they should be helping people instead. Wow, what's it like to be a total arrogant asshat? Your life must be a big bowl of sunshine.

It never occurs to him that jerks like himself might be the reason that those people choose to help animals instead....

The ratio of people to cake is too big.

reply

Well, actually, most companies DO donate. Ronal McDonald House? Ever hear of it? Wal-Mart, who I hate, actually donates to a lot of local causes as well. And they are businesses. But most businesses do donate to charities. PETA is a charity and is tax-exempt, unlike those businesses. While the OP doesn't really have much of a point, you have none. PETA does help noone, including 99.9999% of all animals. Just a select few. Very few. PETA is one of the most feeble and irrelevant charities to exist.

reply

No, I did have a point. It's not my fault your feeble brain couldn't comprehend it.

Sorry hon, but it's not that I'm feeble minded, but logical. Your post followed very skewed logic. Similar, but not as bad, as gja. So do you have a real response, or did you just not realize most companies actually do donate money to charities on a regular basis? Have you really never heard of the Ronald McDonald House?

reply

OK, so these companies that you mention... They help humans?

Honestly most charities that I know of help humans.

Don't you think it's OK for an organisation to try and help animals? Even if it's a drop in the bucket? Even if their way of going about it is sometimes questionable?

People just dont get the point. Have we not evolved enough to try and eliminate suffering of all creatures?

Well said simmie_cou, i totally agree.

When life gives you crayons, colour your world

Because PETA is an animal rights group, not a human rights group. Look up Amnesty International, of which I am also a supporter.

The more people I meet, the more I like my Shelties.....
