Thank you!

I am an Economy teacher and the subject of consumerism is particularly complex. How do you teach that to a group of difficult teenage girls from the slums? Well, Confessios of a Shopaholic is a good place to start. It's a simple story and extremely captivating to girls this age: the shop windows, the fashion, the streets of New York, they loved it! Moreover, it's very educational: it says almost everything you need to know about consumerism. So yes, it's a wonderful movie and it was a great help. Thank you to the lovely Isla Fisher and everyone who made it possible.

I watched it in 2011 right after it came out on DVD in Personal Finance. I am a girl from St. Louis and my teacher got fed up with the boys (and some girls) talking and playing on their phones so she made us take a quiz on this movie. She added a bonus question and whoever got the question right would get a homework pass. The bonus question was:

This movie has a Connection to St. Louis. What is it?

I was the only who knew the answer was John Goodman so i got a homework pass (and used it wisely).

Sorry to bore you to death. I have a slight tendency to get annoyed when my posts on any message board get no replies so i try to reply to any topic of someone elses to help build my kharma...yes i know i sound crazy.

"I'm from L.A: Lower Affton."-John Goodman, St. Louis MO
