What is the name of the movie that is similar to this?

The one I'm thinking of was film in the late 70's early 80's. One of the characters was named Robin. During drilling they found some alien eggs. The creature (or a certain crew man - I can't remember) tries to reclaim them from the crew. It was creepy.

Any ideas on the name?

Itoo remember having seen that film. It was better than the Rig, but I can't remember the name either.
