anybody notice 'The Godfather' acknowledgements?

watched it for like the 3rd time today, just realised that when they show Geets "Dada ji" the famous Godfather music is strummed on a guitar (its very slow but very noticeable)
also at the end when Anshuman is explaining to Geet to clearly tell her parents about them, when Anshuman is talking to Geet shes concentrating on something else, the horn of a train is heard in the distance and Anshuman's voice is drowned out.
anybody notice these subtle hints?

didnt hear the slowed down tune for dadaji.

however the train sound drowning out Anshuman's speech - i dont think that's an homage to Godfather. the whole film uses the train journey/life parallel so its quite in keeping with that. there actually is a train going past in the background and she is watching Aditya walk out of her life. Aditya is the train she keeps feeing she has missed (remember her recurring dream). It makes perfect sense in the movie and I think Anshuman's speech being drowned out by the train noise is most appropriate and would be done so regardless of whther or not the director wanted to give a nod to a old classic. It doesnt seem like a hommage to Godfather (where this was in a super violent scene).

I havent seen Pakeezah in a gazillion years but if I remeber the movie correctly, the association of a lover to a distant train whistle would be more of an homage to this film rather than Godfather.

In the classic 50's film "Peyton Place", train whistles are prominent in the film. Thanks for the explanation regarding this film. I thought the whistle was out of place.
