Any similar movies you can recommend?

My in-laws are Indian and when I was at their house the other day this movie was on TV. I usually dont like the Indian movies they watch but I found this one pretty enjoyable. Can anyone recommend any similar movies? Thanks.

Try "Bunty Aur Babli". Quite a lot of fun, though not quite as much of a love story as "Jab". We also enjoyed "Cheeni Kum" which is a May/December love story with some nice comedy.

I think you'll like Dil Chahta Hai and Jhankaar Beats.

To be frank with you, I found this movie to be very unique.. In no other movie you'll find a character like Geet. :)

I really liked Aaja Nachle and Chak De India. I think the common thread in all these movies were that they were generally progressive without all the Ma-sati-savitri rubbish weighing down the female characters. I also loved Jodhaa-Akbar, it's a very well done period piece.

Among all the movies just mentioned above, do yourself a favour, don't watch "Cheeni Kum". It's one lousy film with interesting premise no doubt, but loose direction.

And everybody seems to be mentioning just urban dramas; how about "Omkara"?
