i think her overacting was good in this film - it worked!

Kareena Kapoor has a range of about 3 expressions

1. Pouty spoilt brat
2. Very happy (eye wide open) and smiling like a idiot
3. Upset (eyes lowered) and silent

She has been in films for long enough to not have an excuse for such over-acting. Shahid was good in this film, understated even when he was playing a happier character at the end of the film. Kareena on the other hand was playing the same character she plays in every film with her 3 facial expressions- which is probably her normal personality and therefore not acting at all.

I appreciate that there is a large portion of Bollywood actresses that cannot act very well but at least most of them accept that and are not given awards!!! Its terrible that Kareena is lead to believe by some critcs that she is a serious actress!

Completely agree with you. Some roles are meant to be a bit OTT like Geet in JWM.Her character was the soul of the movie and had Kareena not been so flamboyant and animated, I would not have enjoyed JWM as much. Kareena was quite different in Omkara, Dev and Chameli.
