Why did Nathalie ended up in a bus when the boat went down?

I just watched the movie and it was pretty okay... but suddenly they all fell in the water and Nathalie is like 1 mile away hiding in a bus?

This was a serious wtf moment

reply

My cousin and I have this joke that she was one of the aliens, and her mother who she was always checking on ran the whole operation to take over Earth. So she teleported her way to that bus.

After plan B is plan C, and after that, D. “You know how the alphabet works.”

reply

hahahaha - that's genius... love it.

reply

i'm watching this and this is my question. i will NOT let this go. it makes no sense.

...Checking how many f#cks will be given today... Sorry, no f#cks will be given today.

reply

She caught the bus at the waterfront

reply

Exactly. Stupidest thing in the movie.

Hey, Soldier. Do you know who's in command here?

reply

I was surprised that Natalia somehow managed to survive.

Simple.

Natalie got washed away by a tidal wave/flash flood caused by crumbling nearby buildings and the riverbank collapse. Happens all the time in Moscow. One moment you're just walking along the river and the next...whooosh...you're miles away.

Luckily, the rest of the group were out of harm's way.

Nothing "serious wtf" about it at all.

I was ok with the movie riiiight up until this point. Easily the worse part of the movie and that was like the apex in the story line. Another question i have is where the hell did Sergei find all the metal fencing and bars and grates and so on to turn his whole apartment into a faraday cage in just 3 days while hiding from the aliens?! The movie started out on a really good note but declined quickly. LOVE the whole humans-to-ash special effect though. that was the best part of the whole movie. The whole movie actually feels like a knock off version of "28 days later". just not as good.

reply

I think Sergei was a nutty genius that lived in that cage. He didn't just build it.

reply

I completely agree. Not only did she end up a mile away in the fastest time possible, she wasn't even trying that hard to look for any other survivors in the water. Meanwhile, the guy is frantically looking for her the second he came afloat. It's like she went into hiding as soon as she hit the water and shot a flare gun expecting others to come for her. This was the biggest plot hole that totally ruined the movie.

Haha I came here to ask the same question. But I guess no one has an answer.

Two people have posted the answer twice in this same thread already.
Are you blind?

reply

Answers? It makes no sense lol

reply

No I’m not blind but I did find the other answers to be jokingly in nature.

“Happens all the time in Moscow. One moment you're just walking along the river and the next...whooosh...you're miles away.”

And the other a wild guess trying to justify the film

“Although, the collapse of the building could have created a large wave that sent her over there...I suppose”

None a real reason how she could have gotten so far a way from the group when everyone else had the ability to stay together without issues. The guy is under the water for under a minute and when he surfaces she is completely gone. Not even in hearing distance from him. Totally unrealistic.

Seems like it was just a way to drag the film out 15 more minutes.

But hey thanks for being a a total jerk.
