Is anybody else wondering why Mrs. Mueller didn't turn Paul in when she caught him by surprise? Please don't tell me out of love, because there is no woman more vengeful than one who knows the guy she's interested in has eyes for another woman!

The simplest and most obvious reason why she wouldn't have told is because she might have to reveal her affair with him.
Now why didn't I think of that :) And you are right, the time was short. I really enjoyed the movie though, and I kept thinking of Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal video.
shareShe would have been in a world of trouble with the Nazis, not to mention her husband, if the affair came to light along with the espionage. They would have shot her, plus her husband most probably. Or sent them to a camp. Better to dummy up and cross her fingers.
shareI chalked it up to cynicism and apathy. Shes not suprised at being used, and cusack is only staggered for a second or two.
