What a short run

I'm surprised this lasted such a short time, I think there should have been a bigger gap between season 1 & 2 in order to keep people interested. I love AG but in can get very repetitive if its on all the time. Also the show looks like it would be very expensive to keep going.

I think the only reason why AG came back so quick was because of the writers strike. The ratings were good the first time out, but not so much the second time. Plus AG cost a lot more to make than other shows NBC has.

It's a shame they had to cancel it... I'm especially gonna miss Crush and Wolf (although I think Don 'Hollywood/Wolf' Yates would make an awesome action-film star!)

Ah well, we should still have Wipeout to look forward to come this summer...

I'm not surprised that it was cancelled. Anytime you focus too much on everything but the competition itself, people lose interest. I mean, if you're a sports fan, wouldn't rather see the action on the field than seeing a celebrity's or a family's reaction in the stands every two seconds? NBC, if you had just cut the interviews and included more events, the show would not have ended. Hope you learn something from this, otherwise, I dub thee Sir NBC as Mr. Fourth Place in Nielsen Ratings Forever.

Don't forget your second wind.

I'm not shocked either.

The interviews and contender's WHOLE lifestory really took me out of it, like to the point where it became unbearable and I had to switch the channel and forget the show was on. Like really, it was obvious there were too many interviews and backstories to where they had to resort to adding a BS recap of the untelevised events! WTF???

I would stick to watching the American Gladiators reruns on ESPNClassic over the new version ANY day, just like I did before and just like I do now.

I would like to meet the person who thinks this new version is better than the classic one. There is a reason Classic American Gladiators lasted an uninterrupted 8 Seasons at the top with ridiculous ratings numbers(10 if you count International Gladiators).

Well if NBC had done like the original American Gladiators from the late 80's until the 90's when it ran I think this new American Gladiators would have been 10X better and lasted longer than what it did.
