is there one because i just went to the site and theres nothing about the show? are they gonna continue ones layla? wants to come back?

I would wait until NBC said Gladiators was cancelled.

because it didn't have good ratings last summer. For all
we know in Feb. they'll start up auditions again and
start it back up.

Entertainment news site HollywoodReporter.com is reporting that NBC has cancelled Hulk Hogan's show "American Gladiators" after just 2 seasons. The show did big ratings for season 1 but viewership tanked for the second season. Unlike most reality-style shows, American Gladiators was very expensive to produce.

MTV? Wouldn't USA or Spike be a more appropriate place to continue the series?

Anyone else think that the only reason that ratings were good for season 1 was because of the writers strike and people were desperate for basically any new programming?
shareI think they would choose a network that is more international... so MTV sounds about right.
But let's be honest, the only reason I'd watch season three is if Gina Carano is still there.
i just attended the arnold classic and i talked to titan and fury. they both said they are still taping and they're either getting picked back up by nbc or going to mtv

sharei honestly have no idea. those were the only two there which is weird since most of the gladiators have fitness or fighter backgrounds. its a wonder hellga, crush, and beast werent there.

The ratings were high for season 1 because, well, there was petitions for YEARS to bring it back.
But it sucked *beep* because they decided to 'modernize' it.
Bring back the old style. Stop interviewing EVERY SINGLE PERSON EVERY SINGLE BREAK. Make the end not suck. That would be a good start in making it continue on another channel.

shareThe show would have been better on Spike T.V. Spike is obviously a station aimed at teenage boys and adult men (ages 15 - 30). American Gladiator came on on Monday around the same time as WWE Raw. It had no chance in that time slot. If they do try to renew the show, Spike TV or MTV would be a better place for it. I loved the show, but it always came on at a bad time for me. I didn't mind seeing Hulkster and Layla hosting it either. They did a good job. I would have loved it if they added celebrities to the show and maybe sports athletes as well. That would have been so awesome. Seeing someone like Shawn White go up against Tony Hawk, or Lebron James against Carmelo Anthony. Ratings would be through the roof.
shareNow if they used the original events that American Gladiators had during the 80's and 90's with the same original host I think the show would have lasted longer but I was not too crazy about this American Gladiators to be honest with you.
NBC has canceled it I hate to say it.
