Offensively bad.

Wow, what an utter travesty this movie is. I actually feel violated having watched this steaming pile of junk. Not only does it feel the need to shoehorn in those cringe worthy, trite love plots like something out of a bad soap opera. Not only does it almost fetishize violence and portray Paul Gross as some f ucking action hero. But it has to stick in a Christ metaphor that is in shockingly bad taste. Literally having Pual Gross carrying a cross while the battle stops, the sun comes out, and a dove flies into view. Yes, thank you Mr Gross, I'm sure this message is appreciated by the thousands that died pointlessly in that battle. But then again, what was the message? That he's atoning for our sins? F ck if I know, seemed more like an excuse to turn it into a Christian movie. And how could the people at the triage tent even see what was happening? Utter bollocks.

Not only does the artillery shell create a perfect cross shaped plank, but it sticks the gremlin kid on it. And he survives???? What??? I feel confused and angry just remembering it. Each person involved in this monstrosity deserves to be slapped. Capitalizing on the memory of thousands of dead men to create this vanity project.
