I think they went to a bar called 'Gertie's' Drew Barrymores name in E.T.

Well spotted. No, I only saw the more obvious ET refs. Like phone home, ship taking off super-sentimentally-slowly, and of course the Halloween street walk.

The ref I noticed most was surely they wanted Melinda Dillan, the mom of Barry from CEofTK to play Blythe Danner's role. Almost thought it was her at first.

The forrest scene in the end was a pretty nice nod to ET.
