You know, there's going to be hate threads here...

...just because it's a band from Iraq.

I haven't seen the film, but I will find a way to see it.

What the hell are you talking about? People don't hate Iraq, they hate USA. Did you really have to make a "warning thread", talk about being a dumb moron. You're probably one of those who are 100% sure Obama will get killed if he gets to be the next president, and can't stop talking about a black person in the election. America is not ready for anything, you can't stop talking about the same things. "Is this racism? Where is racism? We don't really know what racism is, but yet we definitely know and hate it and love it. We only know we have to call everything racism. Even when there is no racism, we have to point it out, just to be sure. We are dumb and will never evolve. Horay"

Hey - Maybe metal can save the world!!

that would be cool.

If every one chilled out and listened to some metal, then no one would need to fight or be racist. we could all learn guitar and jam instead, or play air guitar instead of waging pointless wars.

I wanna see this film. Those Iraqi metallers are cool.

One thing is for sure, YOU'RE dumb. Your post made 0 sense. The OP was likely right, there probably will be hate threads as I'm sure there are plenty of ignorant Americans who will say bad mouth this band because they're from Iraq. Personally, I admire their bravery and dedication to their music.

reply

The only hate thread I see, is this. Why would Iraq hating republicans storm this forum and talk *beep* This isn't about the US, this isn't pro Iraq, it's just a documentary about a band playing in a war zone, so what? If there are any hate threads, report them, this is pointless. You're dumber than the first ass

reply

I'm with NaarG, stop trying to find racism when there isn't any.

Acrassicauda rocks!!!

No "Hate Threads" , yet , in 2010 !!!

It's not about IRAQ

It's not about the U.S. Government

It's about MUSIC !!!

reply

There are everyday normal, working people living in Iraq just like there are everyday working people living in America, who have NOTHING to do with what their governments do. People who live in Iraq don't deserve hatred anymore than the innocent people working in the Twin Towers deserved to be targeted by terrorists. Like the one guy in the band says, he thought that when Saddam Hussein was killed, he thought things were going to instantaneously "become better." He didn't hate Americans. So why would Americans hate on these poor guys just trying to play in a band and make music that they love? They didn't do anything wrong. Hopefully, people in America have some common bleeping sense and know better than to hate someone just because of where they came from, geographically.

Then again, there are a-holes everywhere, and there's at least ONE troll on EVERY board here, so it wouldn't surprise me any. I just think it's really stupid to make a topic like this, especially before you even saw the documentary! You're just stirring up the waters. It's better left unsaid, and if someone DOES make a hate-topic, then deal with it by ignoring the troll and just reporting the topic for trolling so it gets deleted. The best way to fight haters is ignore them, and not give them the attention they're seeking.

So here we are at the close of 2011 and as we can see the discussion board for this movie is so littered with hate threads that you can scarcely find a discussion about the actual contents of the movie. Indeed, the OP is thoroughly vindicated

Just kidding! 3 and a half years later and not one "hate thread." Great call, Miss Cleo!

Imbecile.

No hate.. Just a common goal of awesome metal heads such as myself. We are one.
