So after watching this, I'm both surprised and not so surprised to learn that Holly Critchlow and Philip Glass have separated. Was it in some small part due to the making of this film? The surprise intimacy of Ms. Critchlow's interview -- so surprising, it surprised the boom handler, the DP, and I think Ms. Critchlow herself -- makes one wonder what Mr. Glass must have felt watching the finished film.

It made the portrait a bummer for me. Whar began so promising ended lonely and narcissistic.

Do you mean the movie portrait ended lonely and narcissistic, or Philip and Holly's wedding, or Philip Glass's life and career? I thought it was sad to see the nice family that Mr. Glass seemed to have built up out of some heartbreak and difficulty break up.
