the reason why I ask this question is because one of my fave shows WAS castle
and I loved how the two main stars of the show "loved" each other then I learned that the stars hated each other
so my big question do the actors who play Julia and William get along off camera
or are they ACTING
I've not heard anything to that effect...
and one would imagine that having had a reduced role during season 5. and Dr Grace(Georgina Reilly) filling in as ME they could have written her out completely
not to mention she participated in all 3 of the Bonus web series you'd expect any friction to lead to avoiding side projects like that
I agree with tjanssen, I watch behind-the-scenes and panel discussions, and always have had the impression that Yannick and Helene aren't good friends but co-operate very well. They both seem to be modest, respectful of others, hard-working and easy-going, so that might be helping a lot.
They obviously love the show and are content with what they have, which makes them different from Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion, who were two strong personalities and ambitious Canadians determined to make it in the U.S.
IMO it also helps that Yannick and Helene don't have many intimate scenes together, which prevents cabin fever from developing.
Helene is friends with Jonny Harris and Yannick seems to be friends with Thomas Craig, but it looks like everyone gets along with everyone. That might be one of the reasons the show's been running smoothly for 10 years now.
Btw I know what you mean with Castle - of course you know it's just a TV show and the actors behind it are different than the characters, but still, it's sad to learn that the relationships within the cast or crew are bad. Especially because it can lead to an awkward and abrupt end of the series, as was the case with Castle.
Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic supposedly dated early in the show's run. Can you imagine having to work that closely with your ex? No wonder they didn't get along.
Yannick comes across as a super happily married guy who has never seen Helene, beautiful as she is, as anything but a colleague. I think that's an easier relationship to continue over the long term.
I'd not heard that rumor about Fillion/Katic (and almost every show with a 'will they/won't they' Dynamic generates such rumors in the Tabloids) and if it was a season 1 Fling, why did it only implode the last two seasons?
