Is it me or is she prettier and sexier now than she was at the beginning of the show?

No blah, blah, blah!

Great looking at all times. The character is allowed more make-up in Edwardian times than Victorian so it's appropriate that she has more make-up on.Fashions change.

I grew up in the Hippy era. Jeans,no bras(most women really need a bra to look good,) no make-up and steam ironed flat hair. YUCK!

That does make sense. Yes, she's always beautiful regardless, but lately she's been at her most dreamy. Your explanation may be the reason.

Heh. I grew up during the '70s, which had to be the absolute pits fashion-wise for both men and women.

I agree! She's found the right shade for her hair, and is more cheerful and playful than in the early seasons.

It sounded weird to me that the 70's would be the worst fashion for both men and women. Only then I realized the fashion in North America was probably different.

My country was then Czechoslovakia and all the films and family photos show the 1970's fashion here was very fitting, reserved but tasteful, natural shapes and natural colours. With the occassional Western influence in the form of a red T-shirt or jeans 😝 The hairdos were normal, too (longish page-boy cuts, shoulder-length waves, pony-tails). Like here (from 2:40):

The 50's and 60's fashions were similar to the Western ones, but after 1968, the borders closed almost completely and the Communist countries created their own world. For example, it was forbidden for men to wear long hair. Well... not really forbidden, but if you did have long hair, the police were more likely to stop-and-frisk you. Which was horrible, but as a result young Czech men usually chose thick and as long hair as might still be considered short. Which IMO looked really good on them. I think some men in Western countries had a similar haircut, but it was really popular in CS because of the length issue.

This fashion pretty much continued way into the 1980's. So the "70's fashion" and "80's fashion" aren't synonymous with "way too colourful and tasteless" in the Czech Republic.

You're absolutely right about her being more playful and cheerful. That will do wonders for anyone's attractiveness. 😃

Well, that's one good thing about communism! 😉

I never thought about fashion and trends behind the Iron Curtain, but after some consideration, I realize that, of course, fashion would be quite different from the. West. Thanks for your provocative posts and I appreciate the mini history lesson.

I wasn't sure if I didn't go too off topic here, so I'm happy it was appreciated 😃

I think alot of her new look can be attributed to her new fasions. She has a lot of outfit that are constructed in the victorian style but have a current day fashion cut. The green and white strip outfit she whore on ship ahoy.
