Best supporting characters who need to come back

Jasper Linney (Murdoch's older brother, Together they make an irresistible sexy brother duo)
Harry Murdoch (Murdoch's father)
Tess Moffat (I LOVED her, she was the only character to mystify George lmao)
Dr. Francis (I know not all will agree but I thought he was hilarious.)
Ruby Ogden (how could she not attend Julia's wedding to Murdoch???!!!)

reply

Good choices all, but I thought Murdoch's father was Harry Murdoch.

Add Sally Pendrick to the list for me!

reply

I would like to see Jasper Linney, the RCMP, come back and have a romantic relationship with Anna Fullford. I would also like to see Ruby Ogden come back and have a romantic relationship with George Crabtree; only if he isn't with Edna. I liked him with Edna.

reply

Sally Pendrick. (I adore her. She's so bad she's good.)
More episodes with Terrence Meyers. He's my fave returning character.
I'd like to find out what happened to the Belly Speaker guy. He, besides Sally Pendrick, was the only one to foil Murdoch. At least I think so. Maybe there are others I'm forgetting about.

reply

Each season I eagerly anticipate Terrance Meyers' annual episode. The chemistry between Murdoch and Meyers fun to watch. The Pendricks are my other favorite recurring characters. James's episodes are always intriguing because of the new gadgetry or technology he has just introduced and the mischief that Sally brings with her is such fun to watch.

reply

Bring back Lisa Faulkner (Anna Fulford) and Andrew Gower (Sherlock Holmes). They were great characters; personally I'm disappointed that Murdoch didn't marry Anna as they had amazing chemistry and it would have really annoyed Julia. Sherlock Holmes would have been great as a recurring character as well - getting under Murdoch's feet every once in a while. And, of course, Pendrick! Almost forgot George's Aunties!

reply

Agreed!

reply

Also agreed about Anna

reply

I would have preferred that William marry Anna Fulford.

reply

That would have been a wild ride - so full of potential story lines!

reply

me too hated what they did to anna...but like I said in another thread.....they wanted Murdoch and Julia, and that's just what we got...

It looked like somehow they saved her alive and got her out of Toronto. Not sure how that was accomplished. It is a shame that Meyers and Clegg couldn't do something really useful and eliminate the "Black Hand". Since she can't have William his brother, Jasper, would be the next best man for her. She was not afraid to use a firearm to protect herself and those she loved. That would work out real well with an RCMP who always carried a gun.

reply

don't remember tess and doc francis...

but yes......the others do need to come back

Am trying to figure out what should happen to Leslie Garland. He deserves to be with Sally Pendrick or Lillian Moss.

reply

I'm with others on this thread. Bring back Lisa Faulkner (Anna Fulford). It would liven the series up again. Dr Ogden (Helene Joy) has become such a bore.

reply

Oh, yes!!!! Bring back Anna.
And James Gillies!!!!

Oh gawd, yes!!! I never quite warmed up to her (Julia) and when she and Murdoch
hooked up ... ugh, seemed like a mismatch. I was very disappointed. (yes, I know:
it's only a TV show, lol).

I really miss Inspector Giles. I've always liked Nigel Bennett, and his mouth
absolutely fascinates me, for some reason. 
There's just something about it ... I can't explain.

reply

Have you seen Bennett in FOREVER KNIGHT? Look for it on Netflix. He portrays a dark vampires you will be fascinated. He's also enigmatic on.LEXX's second and third seasons as Prince. I believe you will find that series on Netflix as well.

Nigel Bennett is a delicious guilty pleasure. Bon appetit!

reply

No, I've never seen Dark Knight ... and I only vaguely remember him
in LEXX, which I watched rather infrequently.

The first show I saw NB in, was PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal.

Mais oui, bien sur - merci! 

There's just something about him, eh. 

reply

Don't remember characters, but I must say I did enjoy seeing both Nigel Bennett and Geraint Wyn Davies in Murdoch Mysteries. .

I remember them both from the vampire series Forever Knight.

Inspecter Giles is out now, but I suppose Conan Doyle can come back whenever they want.

reply

Robert Edwards, if only to confirm that he didn't hang.

reply

I consider myself a real fan, but I have no idea who that is.

reply

He's the half-brother of the girl who had multiple-personality disorder, who killed his stepfather with an axe after discovering that he'd murdered his mother.

Brackenreid said he'd go in to bat for him with the judge, but he was one of the most sympathetic murderers in the show so confirmation that he didn't hang would be nice.
