Who's the moron, not who came up with the idea for the movie, but who said "hey this Longshots sounds like a good idea, let's give it the greenlight"? It's not so much because the movie is going to suck (which you know it will), but it's not going to make any money, unless the budget is like 10 bucks.
shareI would have bought the story if the girl could throw...or they ran a wishbone offense and she was a great runner. Or even if she was the 4th string receiver and gets her shot to catch a winning td in the big game.... who knows. As is, this movie needed much in the way of suspense of disbelief to work.
sharei didn't see the movie but i did actually see the girl play 2 years ago. and yes she could throw the ball and threw the ball pretty well. she also had decent speed.
that was when she was playing at the junior midget level for the harvey colts.

i don't know the girls name. but the real girl played for the harvey colts in harvy illinois. it was only about 3 or 4 years ago when she made it to the pop warner super bowl. it was her pee wee season. but she was a junior midget when i seen her play.
