Great movie

I saw it and it was surprisingly decent. It's not what you'd expect. There's no slapstick, not that many cliches. It's actually done in a very down-to-earth manner. Ice Cube does a good job, he's not playing a goofy cartoon character like you might think. If anything, children might not like the movie that much because it's quite often somber and there's not a lot of silly or laugh-out-loud scenes. It's more of an adult movie. Nothing special, but well done.

"great" is an overstatement, IMHO.

I'd put it in the "surprisingly good" category.

And, like you, I'd recommend anyone to see it but especially families.

I totally agree,, I will admit I bought it just because Ice Cube was in it,, but the movie was an excellent story that I enjoyed very much.
