In the beginning of the movie it states "Minden, Illinois".

Didn't they mean Minden, Louisiana...where the movie is based and shot?

The true story takes place in Harvey, Illinois and the movie story takes place in Minden, Illinois. The name was changed from Harvey to Minden in order to use all the locations with names in Minden, Louisiana.
