Kenneth Chisholm is the author. Or are you trying to say it's similar to a King novel?
shareI think the original poster is getting this movie confused with "Joyland" by Stephen King.
It's kind of like this movie (somebody working at a park as a 1st job and finding a girlfriend). Except the main character actually likes the mundane work due to the joy it brings kids, and it's a murder mystery.
